• Band-style concerts as a One-Woman-Band (click) with guitar, vocals, small P.A. system, 
  microphone,and digital drum computer.  Everything is slightly amplified according to the size of the room and
  the PA blends/balances the sounds so the effect is like having a small combo who knows how to control the 
  volume.   Joy also incorporatesfunny stories, music trivia, and humor into these shows. Live background music
  is also an option.

•  Elegant 'Strolling Minstrel' (click), which is Joy with acoustic guitar, 'working the room', such as 
    serenading dinner or luncheon guests at their tables, or variously engaging guests or providing background

•  Combination; Certain modern 'lifecare' communities now provide healthcare centers and memory impaired
    units.  Many such communities engage Joy to perform a 'therapeutic inter-active' session for these residents,

        and Assisted Living Audiences

                                    A Wide Variety of Themes and Styles

Thirty years of professional experience with numerous bands, orchestras, and venues, have given 
Joy a well-rounded musical expertise and versatility few can match. Always a different show or theme 
at each successive appearance,including regular monthly or weekly appearances. 

We also love to collaborate and co-create a theme with activity professionals. Here are a few styles and options:

•  Jazz and popular music from the 1920's through 1940's and 1950's.. How about a 'Roaring 20's party?

•  Big Band era dance music, ballads, and fun novelties.

•  Country western/ Old time Americana music and theme

•  Tropical island fun:  Includes Hawaiian luau, Caribbean calypso, American beach oriented

•  Themes/Hoidays:  Theme music for all holidays and seasons, i.e.;  St. Patrick's Day, 
                      Easter or Passover, May Day, Cinco De Mayo, Labor Day July 4th patriotic, 
                      Good Old Summertime, Memorial Day, Halloween, Ocktoberfest, Thanksgiving, 
                      Christmas/Hanukah, New Years, Presidents Day, Valentines, Day,..etc.
                      Why, I even do a Martin Luther King Day show, and I'm always delighted to
                      'partner' with you on your own theme.

•  Ethnic flavored events:  Joy sings in eight languages including Yiddish, Spanish, , Italian, Russian, 
                                                  German, Hawaiian, Tagalog, (and tons of old Americana),
                                                  with multi-cultural programs such  Irish specialties, country western hoedown, or
                                                  Old Timey Gospel.

"The guitar is plugged in, voice is plugged in, drums are plugged in and we are off to the races," Perrin says. "I sound like a little band all by myself." Hers is a variety show - riddled with jokes, trivia and stories - that the 70- to 100-year-olds who packed the audience during a recent performance at San Rafael's Drake Terrace retirement community couldn't resist. "Perrin encourages banter and audience participation because it means "they are getting involved, they are active, their juices get flowing."
